Honorable Mentions: Taking over for the 99 & 2000 Vinyl collection

Often, when we are searching for records, our instinct is to find ones from before the ‘70s, the ‘70s, ‘80s, and early ‘90s. Those are obviously the most vintage, and rightfully so. I know those are the ones I always grab when I’m digging through those dusty crates at a used record store. One day, I realized that I am “the adult” now, lol which means the music I love is now considered vintage! The music that shaped me as a millennial is well over a decade old. Where has the time gone? OMG.

So I started adding to my already robust collection some of the music I was listening to as a teen. Normally, I just looked for it on CD to be a collectable, but then I realized…. obviously! They have vinyl versions, too.

Collector’s Tip: STOP going to new vinyl stores and paying full price. Go to a used store and find the same records, ones that may have been loved by someone else, for a fraction of the cost! The ones I’m going to share with you cost me no more than $3, and a couple were actually only 99 cents. They sound just fine!

It has been so fun physically recreating my Apple Music playlist on vinyl. Here are just a few I added to my collection that are deeply nostalgic to me. Many more to come!
