1992 Black Beat Magazine: A Tribute to Malcolm X
There are certain moments, as a collector, when you come across something so special that no price could convince you to let it go. This is one of those finds for me.
I stumbled across it one afternoon while casually browsing eBay, a 1992 Black Beat Magazine: A Tribute to Malcolm X. I had never seen this particular edition before, and instantly, I knew it was something rare.
When it arrived, I felt like I was holding more than just a magazine. I was holding a moment in time. The photography, the design, the texture of the paper, it all reminded me that we’ve lost something in the digital age, the art of print. There’s a depth to physical media that screens can never give us. The way the pages age. The way history feels tangible in your hands.
Finding this reminded me of why I collect in the first place. It’s about preservation and honoring the stories and cultural moments that can be easily forgotten.
I’m honored to share an exclusive look inside this special edition with you.
I hope you enjoy!
Fun Fact: It also included a surprise 16” x 22” Pullout Poster!
